It should be obvious from this one that I was influenced by Jimi Hendrix in my formative years. This is a very simple track with just drums, bass and 1 guitar. I kind of pictured myself playing in a little club in Japan, trying to get that flavor. I did my "Roger meets Hendrix meets Curtis Mayfield meets Jeff Beck" thing and tried to play a compelling and beautiful melody. I even tried to imagine how Mitch Mitchell might have played drums on this and the GarageBand "jazz drums" preset was just right. A few drummer friends have even complimented the sound of that preset. This is one I am very proud of and I sincerely hope it touches you in some way too!
